The frustration only gets worse if you find out they charge for access. If you are in a conundrum over where to meet, just check out the wifi pages (http://www.wififreespot.com/). Keep in mind that many retailers now offer free wifi services for their customers.
Uses:
Download your local area to a .pdf file and save to your BB or iPhone for future reference. If you are still “planner” driven, download your pages and file them.
Traveling? Download the area you are traveling to before you leave. Keep a map of the area and all of the locations nearby that you can use.
NOTE: While these locations offer free wifi, they may not offer free electricity (chalk it up to lesson learned). So make sure you have enough battery power before you wander out.
